Cathedral is more than a school - it is a community. We thrive on parent participation and believe that there is an opportunity for everyone to be involved. Our Parents' Association is responsible for coordinating all of the volunteer efforts at Cathedral. We organize the hot lunch program. Parents serve as liaisons to our parish as well as to our faculty. Also, we manage room parents, guardian angels, Run 4 Cathedral, and help provide supervision for field day.
In addition, the Parents' Association spearheads the four fundraisers that enable our families to reach their fundraising commitment. These include a magazine sale in the fall, wreath/poinsettia sale during the Christmas season, spring plant sale and finally, the year round scrip program. Many volunteers organize these efforts.
Parents' Association events are the highlight of the school year. We have many volunteers who coordinate the Back to School Picnic, Special Friends' Breakfast and our Spaghetti Dinner and Art Show the first Thursday of May.
All parents are encouraged to join the board of the Parents' Association during their tenure at Cathedral. Meetings are once a month. Whether you like to work in the classroom, organize events or raise funds, we can use your talents. Our success, and the success of our children is directly related to the combined efforts and enthusiasm of our teachers, administration and parent community. |
