There are numerous volunteer opportunities for parents at Cathedral School. A few of them are listed below:
CYO Coaches
All CYO teams are coached by parent volunteers. So if you've been itching to brush off those volleyball skills from years ago, or just have an interest in basketball, coach and assistant coach opportunities abound.
Field Trips
Student field trips are made possible by the generous time and driving committment of parents. Come join the kids for a field trip and have a priceless opportunity to see your kid(s) in action.
Fund Raising
The annual Auction, Run 4 Cathedral, Magazine Sale, Wreath/Poinsettia Sale; these are all great fundraisers which help keep our tuition reasonable. These events are run by parents and there's always space for all skills.
Hot Lunch
On Mondays and Fridays, the students are served a hot lunch organized, prepared (and sometimes cooked) by the parents. What a blast to see excited hungry munchkins come in and devour the hamburgers you just cooked with the rest of the parent volunteers. It really is a fun time for all.
Room Parent
Room parents help the teacher put together periodic activities, parties, special presentations, etc. When the teacher needs some special art project prepared, the room parent can help do the work, or distribute the work to other parent volunteers, making a large task suddenly seem quite easy. Again, a great opportunity to see your child close up.
There's an endless list of opportunities for parents to get involved. It's important to understand this is more than just a fun way to be involved in our childs education. Parental involvement is also an integral part of what makes Cathedral School the great place it is. Don't miss out on the opportunity to do your part.
