Barbara English – Technology Coordinator K-8

Barb English has been at Cathedral since February of 1980 and is currently directing the school’s technology program. Over the years, Barb has overseen the integration of Cathedral’s state-of-the-art computer system into the curriculum. A graduate of Oregon College of Education, Barb’s experience includes teaching grades 2, 6, Title One, K-5 music, and grades 1-8 computer. She has taught at Our Lady of the Lake in Lake Oswego and St. Mary’s School in The Dalles. She has taken various courses in computer skills and the use of technology in education. She is currently one of Intel’s teachers for the Teach to the Future Program which trains teachers to use technology in their classrooms.  

Anna Casey – Health, Physical Education K-8

Anna Casey was raised in Bellevue, WA and attend Gonzaga University in Spokane.  She graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education.  During college she rowed for Gonzaga Women's Crew Team.  After graduation, Anna began her teaching career in Vancouver, WA where she began her Master of Education program at the University of Portland.  She completed her masters in 2003.  Anna spends her free time in water swimming for the Tualatin Hills Barracudas, a masters swim team.  On land, she can be found cooking, gardening, walking, biking or reading.

Stacey Dorrance – Music K-8

Stacey Dorrance has been the music teacher at Cathedral since November of 2004. She was born into a musical family where she developed her love for choral, sacred, and other genres of music. She has served as choral director for both children and adults and has directed numerous musical programs in the last eighteen years. After college, she began a music ministry with her two sisters making recordings of Byzantine Chant in English as well as recording their own contemporary Christian music. Currently, she is the Choir Director of her parish, St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, on the West side, and has a private vocal and piano studio. She has four children and has been married to her high school sweetheart for over twenty years. She feels very blessed to be on staff at Cathedral and looks forward to many years of teaching and growing with the Cathedral children and families

Ingrid Trachtenbarg – Spanish K-8, 6th grade social studies

Ingrid Trachtenbarg earned her B.A. from Sweet Briar College in Modern Languages and Literature with a focus in Spanish, Italian and German.  She has studied abroad in Brazil, Spain, Italy and Mexico.  Prior to Cathedral she taught high school Spanish at levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and AP.  In 2005 she joined the Cathedral School staff as the kindergarten through eighth grade Spanish teacher.  She completed her Masters of Arts in Teaching at the University of Portland in December 2008.  In the summer of 2006 she had the opportunity to visit Cathedral's sister school in Nuevo Progresso, Guatemala, where she was able to speak with the students and teachers.  When she is not in school Ingrid enjoys traveling to new places and meeting new people.  She has visited various countries in Southeast Asia, South America, Europe and Central America.  When she is not traveling or teaching, she can be found doing a variety of outdoor activities including running, playing soccer, hiking and camping. 

Cindy Glenn – Librarian

Cindy has been Cathedral’s librarian since 1994. A graduate of Oregon College of Education, Cindy has previously taught second grade and has worked as a reading specialist for grades 4 through 6. As librarian Cindy has computerized the library, updated its resources, and increased the number of volumes. In addition to teaching library skills to all grades, she oversees the annual Book Fair. In the summer of 2001 she earned her library/media endorsement.
