Skills are taught in religion, reading, phonics, math, handwriting, spelling, English, grammar, science, social studies, health, and safety. Music, physical education, library, and computer (Grades 1 and 2) are taught by specialists outside the classroom. A variety of teaaching styles are used to match the variety of learning styles. Lessons are Jesus-centered base don Gospel values. The subjects are integrated as much as possible across the curriculum. We use a whole language-based, multisensory approach with integration of phonics. Assessment techniques used include observation, authentic assessment, informal and formal testing, small group work, and both written and oral reports.
