Close-Knit Community
Cathedral School is a Welcoming City-Wide Community
Cathedral School unites families from 32 Portland zip codes into one vibrant, supportive community. Students benefit from a tapestry of perspectives and experiences, while parents find genuine friendships and a trusted network. With small class sizes and active parent involvement, every child is known, and every family feels connected. Rooted in shared values, Cathedral students grow into compassionate citizensβwhile their families share in a welcoming community that feels like home.
Throughout the year, Cathedral School hosts many events for the community to come together to celebrate the school!
During Catholic Schools Week in January, Cathedral School hosts a special Grandparents & Special Friends Breakfast. Students are invited to welcome a guest to campus for a morning of connection and celebration. Guests enjoy a light breakfast, tour the school and classrooms with their student, and attend Mass together.

April in Paris(h) is our second biggest fundraiser of the year and the opportunity for the Cathedral School community and the Parish to come together. This annual spring celebration of art and community showcases students art in the gym, along with food and drinks, and an online auction component which features class art projects and other special items and experiences.

The Back to School BBQ, held on the first Friday of the new school year, is a beloved Cathedral tradition. Families gather to enjoy great food, beer and wine, face painting, and fun activities for all ages. Itβs the perfect way to reconnect, meet new families, and kick off the year together.
