Fundraising Events

Fundraising plays an important part of the Cathedral community. The annual operating budget for Cathedral School is not funded by the tuition revenue alone.  89% of Cathedral School’s income comes from tuition. Fundraising makes up the other 11%.

Fundraising is needed to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the actual operating costs. Our annual fundraising efforts continue to position Cathedral School at the front of the pack in terms of innovation, teacher salaries, and campus upgrades.

Our three main fundraising events of the year include:

  • A large group of children participating in a running event Cathedral Private Catholic School In Portland, all wearing matching white T-shirts with a red and blue logo, outdoors near a school building and gate.

    Run for Cathedral

The Run for Cathedral is an annual jog-a-thon, held in September, in which Cathedral School students raise funds for curriculum enhancement. The Run for Cathedral funds the art program as well as supports other enrichment classes and activities for students.

  • A man and woman dressed in formal attire smiling at a celebration event for Cathedral Private Catholic School In Portland.

    Celebrate Cathedral

Celebrate Cathedral is our school’s largest fundraiser and a celebration of our remarkable school and community. The festive evening consists of a cocktail party and donation paddle raise and is held in November.

  • Event poster for a fundraiser titled 'April in Paris,' scheduled for Friday, April 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. The poster features stylized illustrations of buildings and the Eiffel Tower in red, white, and blue, with text referencing a spring fundraiser and celebrating 125 years of Cathedral School.

    April in Paris(h)

April in Paris(h) is our annual spring celebration of art and community held at the end of April at Cathedral School. The event showcases our student art show, along with food and drinks, and an online auction component which features class art projects and other special items and experiences.
